Kanye West- Welcome to Heartbreak

This video is so trippy.... Don't adjust your monitors, that's how the video is supposed to be. Visual genius if you ask me. (Maximize by pressing that little arrow on the bottom right for the full effect)

Back from the West

So here I am back in New York and I am going through some big west coast withdrawal. I had an awesome time in all the stops I made; Vegas, Santa Barbara, and San Francisco! There's so much that I have done in the few days I had to work with, that I don't really know how long the blog would be to explain the whole story. Instead I'll post some random facts that will describe the feelings, thoughts, and experiences of my trip as a whole.

1. I am going to try my best to move out there... soon
2. Yay Area= yes Bay Area= no
3. Firefly Tappas.... Two Thumbs Up
4. Las Vegas has the best clubs in the nation... hands down
5. I miss Annie
6. California Schools are much nicer and cleaner then those in the east.
7. It's time to look forward to my future.
8. What it Do? What it Do Do!

Viva Las Conference

So here I am, my last night in Las Vegas... I was fortunate enough to be sent to a graduate student recruitment conference from work. Can't go wrong with all expense paid work conferences. Well besides from the conference, which was actually very interesting, I got a chance to hang out with some long time friends; Anthony, Nicole, and Sebastian. Last night we hung out for a bit, had some Pho for dinner, and then gambled/watched the NBA allstar game at the Wynn. Then we headed out to a Tapas Bar called Firefly. I strongly recommend this to anyone who appreciates great appetizers. Tonight we had a blast as well, and we ventured out to Club Prive at Planet Hollywood. First off, I'd like to say big ups to Seba for hooking us up all night long. If you were to ever come back to NY you know I got you covered. It was a good time, and you can clearly tell the difference in nightlife in Las Vegas. No where in the nation has clubs like Las Vegas, and i'm going to stand by this statement as I have been inside out of the nightlife business all around the world. We were graced by an NBA allstar as well, Mr. Paul Pierce. I got some pics that I'd love to post but stupid me forgot to bring my camera cable. Oh well I guess you'll all have to wait for a week until i get back home in NY.

Tommorow's another great day as at night I venture out to visit Justin in Santa Barbara and the rest of the fun filled week begins!

Taken

It's been awhile since I did a movie review, so why not do one now, especially since I just saw my first good movie of 2009. "Taken" is an action-packed thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat saying "holy shit did he just do that" more times then you would take a sip from your $10 soda that you bought at the concessions.

Although there were some scenes that made me shudder by the realness of what may very well be going on today through drug cartels internationally, the flick delivered Action-packed greatness and did not drag on at all. In fact, I went for a 30 second bathroom break during a slow part and it felt like I missed so much valuable info! (So remember to go before you sit down) Anyways I give it two thumbs up and a 8.5-9/10!

Update

Enough of the Celebrity gossip, and media videos. Time to fill you in on what's been going in with me. Well other then fighting the cold weather, I am back in school while working so hard my eyes burn every night. I've already been given a few travel assignments for the month including Philadelphia this Saturday, Vegas on the week of the 16th, and D.C. at the end of the month. Vegas should be fun because I took the rest of that week off to drive to L.A. to hang out with Justin and then we're gonna drive to San Fran for a few days to visit friends. So you know that's going to be a good few blog posts =).

In regards to my classes this semester, I'd say to describe them, well they're interesting. I'm taking 3 courses on top of work (don't ask me how I do it). One course is all about activism and the fight for revolution in education. The professor definately looks like a previous activist, with the whole member from the hip hop group the Roots look. I was thinking of dropping that course but a friend of mine told me that it's not as bad as it seems so I guess I'll stick with it. My second course is a continuation of last semesters Higher Education course so I know that will be good. But my last course.... when I say interesting boy do I mean it. First off, the title is called "Toys and Games." Just like the title says, all we do is talk about toys and games and its influence on education. It's great for me! Right??! I hope so... So far what we did in class was introduce ourselves through the voice of a random puppet that we were given. So of course being the only guy in the class, I was given a wooden monkey puppet to introduce Jason. We'll see how it goes, my assignment is to do a presentation on the History of Marbles!

Seriously Miley?

Miley Cyrus was found yet again taking photos that should not be circulated. This time she took a picture that offends me. Oh well, I was always with the ACDC crew anyways.

As taken from the inquisitr.com:
"Miley Cryus, sweet 16, and already a racist? that’s what a photo of Miley would seem to demonstrate.

The undated photo shows Miley with her boyfriend Justin Gaston stretching their eyes back, a common gesture used to mock Asian people.

According to Karen Narasaki, president of the director for the Asian American Justice Center quoted at Celebuzz: “It’s hard to imagine the context where this would be okay. It’s offensive and disappointing. She’ such a role model for young women.”

Rick Ross vs. 50 Cent

So... there has been a recent a hip hop world beef/battle going on with Rick Ross and 50 Cent. Ross on his latest single Mafia Music disses 50 for no apparent reason. When asked why he did it in a recent interview, Ross replies with a lackluster response explaining that it started from the way 50 looked at him at an awards show. Personally I think it was to boost publicity for Ross' upcoming album, but he may have just dug himself his own grave and killed his own career. You don't go at 50. I'm not the biggest 50 cent fan, but this guy has money and is twisted like Eminem. He will find all about your past, even your so called correctional officer past that you don't want the public to know. In any thought, I find the whole thing funny I just hope no one gets shot.

Here's a few videos of 50 cent responding to the whole situation. The second video 50 takes it very far and hangs out with Rick Ross' son's mother!! He also takes her shopping and buys her mink coats and Gucci bags/shoes! It's crazy LOL
