Spiderman Saves the Day!

Here's a cool story that I read on msnbc.com:

Fireman dresses as Spider-Man to rescue boy
Comic-loving autistic kid on balcony had refused to let others near him

BANGKOK - A Thai firefighter dressed as Spider-Man to rescue an autistic boy who climbed onto a third-floor balcony and dangled his legs over the side because he was nervous on his first day of school.
Firefighter Somchai Yoosabai was called in after the 11-year-old boy's teachers and mother failed to coax him off the ledge on Monday, he said in a telephone interview Wednesday.
"He was nervous about the first day at school, and he was asking for his mother," Somchai said. "He cried and refused to let any of us get close to him."
Overhearing a conversation between the boy's mother and his teachers about his love for comics and superheroes, Somchai rushed back to the fire station to change into a Spider-Man costume before swinging into action.
"I told him Spider-Man is here to save you. No monster will hurt you now," Somchai said. "Then I told him to walk slowly toward me. I was very nervous that he might have slipped if he got too excited and ran."
Somchai, who keeps costume of Spider-Man and a Japanese superhero Ultraman to liven up fire drills at schools, said the teary-eyed boy broke into a smile and started walking into his arms.

Pharrell sings and dances in Mickey Ds

So Pharrell lead singer/producer of the Neptunes and N.E.R.D. shows up to a McDonalds in Paris, France right before they officially open, and starts to sing and dance his order. It seems that the ladies behind the counter surely don't know who he is because they didn't seem to be amused whatsoever.

2 movie Reviews

Ok so I have two movie reviews from flicks that I saw this week. Both of different genres, one comedy and one sci-fi action. Watchmen, and I Love you Man. First lets start off with "I Love You Man."

Funny Movie. Very Funny Movie. Laughed all the way through, from start to finish. All actors/actresses played their roles very well and provided me with great comical delight. In addition, you have two very hot females in the movie Rashida Jones (from NBC's The Office), and Jaime Presley, and of course for you females you have some good lookin dudes... Paul Rudd and Jason Segal. Go See it! Two Thumbs Up!!

Next review.... Watchmen.

Quite Honestly? The film didn't do the original Graphic Novel justice. Sure sure you can't expect a film to be as precise and detail to anything in print. But, there are many comic book adaptations that have done a pretty good job. IE: Sin City, X-men franchise, Batman etc. I think overall, the visuals and graphics in the flick were superb, top notch, and did show a few things I haven't seen on screen before. They changed a few things from the comic, but not much really. Except of course for the key elements of the beauty of the novel itself; character development and psychoanalogical creativity. On a side note, anyone notice Hollywood really pushing the envelope recently? Ever since SAW, I guess Hollywood thinks that its ok to be as gruesome as possible and thinks that all of mankind wants to see nothing but sex and violence and hardcore scenes of both! I mean don't get me wrong I love both =D, but even I think that some movies can be done without it. But it's all good, not a horrible movie, worth $10 if you read the novel?... meh wait for netflix

Sorry been busy Killing Zombies

AAgh, What the F***, Holy Sh***, HELLLLP ... that's the type of language that has been flowing online recently during my conversation with my Justin my wingman of online XBOX gaming as we have been conquering yet another game in it's co-op mode. The last week of leisure time was consumed by playing the new gaming blockbuster, Resident Evil 5. We have added another game beaten cooperatively in less then a week upon release to our shelves, but RE5 offers great replay value that will have us playing it again. I recommend the title for anyone in for a solid entertaining shooter, along with a few jumpy scares.

Nodame Cantabile

Nodame Cantabile... what a great drama. Thanks to Annie who ressurrected my interest in watching Japanese dramas again.

This series is about a child prodigy Chiaki, who has to overcome his fears of flying to some day live out his dream to travel to Europe and pursue his musical dreams. In the meantime, he's in a Music University and thinks that everyone is not at the same skill level as him. Chiaki meets Megumi Noda, "Nodame", and the plot thickens from there. This drama originated from the Anime/Manga Nodame Cantabile and is a comical masterpiece. I recommend you check it out!!

You can download the entire series (with English Subtitles) via BitTorrent along with other cool dramas at : http://www.sars-fansubs.com/downloads

Jet Setter

So I've been traveling a lot for work recently. So much that Nicole called me a "Jet Setter." Don't get me wrong, I feel very priveleged that I have the opportunity to travel all around the nation due to my job, but it does get tiring. In a one month span I would have been through 9 airport security checks, took about 6 taxicabs in different states, and checked into 4 different Marriot Hotels. Being that I travel a lot it does have its consequences, my immune system is weaker causing me to get a slight cold that I'm currently trying to shake, and it also means that I'm falling behind on my school work. BUT... what keeps me moving forward is the motivation to finish school ASAP, get this degree and move to the west. Real talk right there.

On the positive side, I've been cutting back on WoW a lot and enjoying the other things I used to enjoy before WoW, such as Japanese Dramas. Thanks to Annie, she got me hooked on them again! I also am getting the chance to meet with all my friends scattered around the US through my travelings. It's so good to see the many of you that I have recently seen, and for the others I'll try my best to have my job send me there next =)
